Regional Maintenance Technician – South West

To ensure our members have an exceptional experience within our gyms, we pride ourselves on high standards of maintenance. As a Maintenance Operative, you will undertake repairs and maintenance across our portfolio of gyms located across the South West of England, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and compliance. Sites to cover include but are not limited to:
Swansea, Cardiff, Bristol, Swindon, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bournemouth, Southampton.

• Carry out general repairs across all our clubs based across the South West
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance on site, including both proactive and reactive work
• Carry out minor plumbing work including replacing taps, unblocking sinks and drains etc.
• Deal with repairs where necessary as instructed by the facilities department
• Handle minor electrical repairs and fixings
• Perform general redecorating works
• Conduct general fault finding
• Regularly check internal and external areas of the gyms for potential hazards and rectify them

• Multi‑skilled across plumbing (copper and PVC), carpentry, and minor electrical works
• Competent at basic building repairs and maintenance
• Knowledge of ventilation systems
• Proficient at redecoration and refurbishment works
• Able to complete small plastering and wall damage works
• Proficient at using small industrial, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Understanding of health and safety procedures and precautions
• Demonstrates literacy, numeracy, and IT skills sufficient for our Mainteno reporting system
• Physically fit, able to lift, bend, stretch, and work at heights
• Holds a clean driving licence

Although the role is predominately Monday to Friday, due to the nature of the leisure industry some out‑of‑hours work will be required, and occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
