We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy, highly respected independent garage team in Swansea. Whether you are a Diagnostic Technician, Service Mechanic, or a Master Tech in the making, we offer a high-spec environment focused on complex mechanical work, transparent customer service, and zero weekend shifts.
The Rewards- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year basic (Tailored directly to your hands-on experience and technical skill level).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:30 —enjoy stable, permanent weekday hours with strictly no weekend work required.

Your RoleAs a core Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Swansea team, you will:
- Mechanical & Electrical Repair: Carry out complex repairs, engine work, brake overhauls, and chassis maintenance to high standards.
- Diagnostics: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
- Servicing & Maintenance: Perform full vehicle inspections and routine servicing across various makes and models.
- MOT & Safety: Conduct thorough health checks and safety-critical repairs to deliver "right first time" results.
- Reporting: Complete digital job cards and video health checks (VHC) to provide clear updates to our service team.
- Qualifications &
Experience:
Level 2 Motor Vehicle qualification required (NVQ Level 3 preferred) with a strong understanding of modern vehicle systems and repair techniques. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it). - Licensing: Full UK manual driving licence is essential.
An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required. - Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.

Based in Swansea, our independent workshop is perfectly located for a fast, straightforward daily commute for candidates travelling from Neath, Port Talbot, Llanelli, Carmarthen, Bridgend, and the surrounding South Wales areas.
