DAYS AND SHIFT WORKING OPPORTUNITY (Shift patterns current subject to review 12hrs)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates Department at Morriston Hospital, for two highly motivated individuals to join us as Electrical Engineering Tradesperson (Core Trade Electrical)

The role demands that the individual has an extensive knowledge of engineering systems (multi discipline) and building services preferably within the Health Care Sector.

The individuals should have a proven track record of fault finding, carrying out pre-planned maintenance in both an electrical and mechanical setting. Fully understanding the legal implications surrounding statutory compliance and engineering governance.

There maybe a requirement to participate in an On-Call provision.

To provide a safe, secure and pleasant environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Provide multi-skilled engineering expertise across various electrical and mechanical equipment and fabric

Ensure maintenance tasks are fulfilled to appropriate levels of quality in a compliant manner recording actions through helpdesk software via tablets etc.

Ensuring all essential services are maintained to support clinical departments in their prime task of treating patients whilst ensuring all statutory legislation is complied with.

Ensure maintenance tasks are fulfilled to appropriate levels of quality in a compliant manner.

Follow planned preventative maintenance schedules but incorporate flexibility into the working programme to avoid untoward disruption to wards and departments, to ensure unforeseen faults/problems are rectified promptly and safely.

Plan, organise and prioritise materials and working programmes with other trades to ensure minor developments and maintenance tasks are completed as efficiently and promptly as possible, thereby minimising disruption to patient care.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
