Licensed Practical Nurse - Corrections
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc.
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Corrections to deliver nursing care and support to individuals in a correctional facility. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the health and well-being of incarcerated patients while ensuring compliance with correctional healthcare standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and routine treatments.
- Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to the RN or healthcare provider as needed.
- Assist with intake assessments, daily sick calls, and scheduled clinical appointments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and state regulations.
- Support emergency care response, including triage and first aid interventions.
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA protocols within a secure environment.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and correctional staff.
- Active LPN license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in corrections, psych, or acute care.
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and in structured environments.
- Familiarity with correctional healthcare policies and procedures preferred.
