On Call Substitute

Sweet Home School District is accepting applications for classified substitutes.

Classified positions include, but are not limited to, educational assistants, special ed assistants, student monitors, food service assistants, cooks, custodians, bus monitors, secretaries, etc.

Qualifications

Bus Monitor: Assist school bus drivers by keeping children from endangering themselves or others physically or verbally. Visually monitor students. $17.38/hour

Classroom Assistant (Teacher Assistants, Alternative Education Assistants & Special Education Assistants): Assignments include working with small group instruction in regular education classroom, serving special needs students who require one-on-one or special supervision or assistance, and general supervision. These positions require completion of 72 credit hours from a college or university, or to pass the district’s HQ reading, writing and math tests.

$17.38-$18.51/hour

Custodian: Substitute custodians should be able to operate janitorial equipment and tools properly and in a safe manner, and must be able to demonstrate ability to perform moderately heavy tasks, and follow written and verbal instructions. Perform custodial functions such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, washing walls, changing light bulbs and perform emergency cleanup services. $18.51/hour

Food Service Assistant: This position prepares and serves meals to the students and staff. It involves simple preparation tasks, knowledge of sanitation requirements and the ability to read and follow simple instructions. This position requires a valid food handler’s card. $17.38/hour

Secretary: This position will assist in general clerical activities of the office as requested. Should be familiar with basic office and school procedures. Telephone and communication skills are essential. $17.95/hour

Student Monitor: Monitor students in unstructured activities such as playground, breakfast, lunch and transportation waiting activities. $17.38/hour
