TIG Welder

Selmet is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our precision aerospace casting operation in Springfield, OR. In this role, you will perform high-quality GTAW welding on titanium and other aerospace alloys, working from blueprints, weld procedures, and engineering specifications. You will set up and operate welding equipment, inspect welds using gauges and visual standards, and document results per quality requirements.

The position requires strict adherence to safety, cleanliness, and aerospace quality standards while collaborating with production, quality, and engineering teams in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on titanium and aerospace alloys to engineering specifications
• Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
• Set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding equipment and fixtures
• Inspect welds visually and with gauges to meet aerospace quality standards
• Follow strict safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams on weld issues and improvements
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities

Required Skills
