Aerospace Production Supervisor

Selmet, Inc. in Springfield, OR seeks an Aerospace Production Supervisor to lead shift operations in titanium casting manufacturing. This role oversees production teams, schedules, and workflow to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals for aerospace and defense customers. The supervisor coordinates resources, monitors KPIs, enforces standard work, and drives continuous improvement using lean and 5S principles. Responsibilities include training and coaching operators, resolving production issues, supporting maintenance coordination, ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards, and collaborating with engineering, quality, and planning to optimize throughput and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily aerospace titanium casting production operations on assigned shift
• Plan and manage labor, materials, and equipment to meet schedule, quality, and safety targets
• Monitor production KPIs and drive continuous improvement using lean and 5
• S tools
• Train, coach, and evaluate production operators and leads
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality, documentation, and traceability requirements
• Identify and resolve production issues, escalating to maintenance and engineering as needed
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and planning to optimize throughput and on-time delivery
• Enforce safety policies, conduct safety walks, and support a strong safety culture
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or process nonconformances
• Support implementation of new processes, tooling, and work instructions on the shop floor
