Selmet is seeking an Investing Operator to support precision titanium casting production in our Springfield, OR facility. In this role, you will prepare molds for aerospace components by assembling wax trees, performing ceramic shell investing, and operating related equipment. You will follow strict safety, quality, and process controls, accurately measure and mix materials, and document production data. Working in a team-oriented, high-tech environment, you'll help meet aerospace specifications, assist with troubleshooting, support continuous improvement, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area across shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble wax trees and molds for titanium castings
  • Perform ceramic shell investing and operate related production equipment
  • Follow detailed work instructions, safety rules, and aerospace quality standards
  • Measure, mix, and handle investment materials accurately and safely
  • Inspect molds and components for defects and report issues promptly
  • Record production data, counts, and process parameters in logs or systems
  • Support troubleshooting and basic equipment adjustments under supervision
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and tools
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet schedule and quality goals
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement activities
