Shipping and Receiving

Selmet is seeking a Shipping and Receiving team member to support aerospace manufacturing operations in Springfield, OR. In this role, you will accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and components, verify paperwork, and enter data into inventory systems. You will prepare outbound shipments, including packing, labeling, and creating shipping documentation to meet customer and carrier requirements. The position requires operating forklifts and material handling equipment safely, maintaining organized warehouse and staging areas, and coordinating with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries in a safety- and quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and components against packing slips and purchase orders
• Document receipts and enter data into inventory or ERP systems accurately
• Prepare, pack, and label outbound shipments to meet customer and carrier requirements
• Create and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and in compliance with procedures
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse, dock, and staging areas
• Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to support on-time delivery
• Follow safety, quality, and aerospace documentation standards
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy activities
• Communicate shipment status and resolve basic shipping or receiving issues
