Burnett is very excited to be partnering with a national leader in gas/chemical manufacturing. This client has an immediate need for an Administrative Assistant in their Sweetwater, TX office. This role is slated for a 6 month contract with the potential to get extended/go perm.
The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in providing office support functions for staff and management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, a strong communicator, and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties- Maintain and organize office filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including mail, email, and phone calls, directing them to the appropriate parties.
- Ensure the office environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Provide administrative support to senior management and other staff as required.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Organize and execute company events, team-building activities, and employee appreciation initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, greeting visitors professionally.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Foster a positive and productive office culture.
- Facilitate effective communication channels within the office.
- Act as a central point for disseminating important company information.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years’ experience in a corporate environment as a general secretary or customer service representative
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint); must be comfortable using Excel for data entry, and spreadsheet organization
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work overtime
- Reliable transportation
- Pay Rate is $18/hr while contract
- Hours will be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
- Office is located in Sweetwater, TX (79556 zip)
