The
Construction Manager – Mechanical will take ownership of complex mechanical construction scopes, particularly cutting-edge liquid cooling systems, playing a key role in delivering next-generation, high-performance data center facilities. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, this leader will help bring innovative, sustainable infrastructure to life. We’re seeking a proven construction professional with strong leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and a positive attitude who is ready to make an impact by delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • PMP, LEED AP, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical construction management, with at least 3 years in data center or mission-critical facility projects.
  • Proven experience with liquid cooling systems (e.g., direct-to-chip, immersion cooling) in high-performance computing environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and liquid cooling infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with data center design standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, ASHRAE TC 9.9).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project, MS Office Suite).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.

Other important requirements
:

  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
  • Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
  • Must be comfortable working a rotational schedule, which includes day and night shifts as well as weekend work, based on project needs.
  • Employees working night shifts will receive a 15% premium added to their hourly rate only for hours worked during night shifts.

Job responsibilities

  • Project Oversight – Manage all mechanical construction activities for data center projects, including the installation of liquid cooling systems, HVAC, piping, and related infrastructure.
  • Liquid Cooling Expertise – Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of liquid cooling technologies, ensuring compatibility with high-density computing environments.
  • Coordination – Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, general contractors, and vendors to integrate mechanical systems with other data center components (e.g., power and networking).
  • Quality Control – Ensure all mechanical installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local building codes.
  • Schedule Management – Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of mechanical milestones while proactively mitigating risks and delays.
  • Budget Management – Monitor and control mechanical construction costs, including equipment, labor, and materials, to ensure adherence to project budgets.
  • Safety Compliance – Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, particularly for high-risk mechanical installations.
