Georgia Pacific is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Sweetwater, TX facility. Production Leaders lead a team to ensure a safe and injury/incident‑free environment in our fast‑paced plant.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with Safety, Environmental, Maintenance, Operations, Controller, and Quality Leaders to elevate a team to its full potential.
• Embrace and manage change to drive innovation and process improvements.
• Apply PBM® to foster a culture where employees are empowered.
• Facilitate team and employee development, problem‑solving and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership, and holding employees accountable.
• Takes accountability for safety, quality, and efficiency through leadership, individual ownership and accountability, teamwork, and delegation.
• Coaches, motivates, and mentors the team to drive safe and efficient behaviors leading to positive outcomes.
• Take ownership of training, and document training trackers and check sheets.
• Take corrective action measures as needed using critical & economic thinking, challenge processes, and team collaboration to resolve issues and drive innovation, efficiency, and safety excellence.
• Complete paperwork and reports with accuracy to meet deadlines.
• Leverage strong oral and written communication skills to communicate with the facility team, leadership, and corporate associates in Atlanta.
• Use organization and planning skills to execute tasks in a timely, purposeful, and orderly fashion.
• Use critical thinking, processes, and collaboration to troubleshoot equipment and machinery.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Minimum of Four (4) years of supervisory experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment, or four (4) years of experience in the Gypsum industry, or an associate degree or higher with two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Able to work a shift schedule subject to change during employment based on business needs.
• Minimum of Four (4) years of experience coaching, counseling, and developing employees.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience using a computer for record‑keeping, documentation, and reporting, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
