Primary FunctionPerform skilled nursing care to patients, within scope of Nurse Practice Act.
Perform skilled nursing care to patients.
QualificationsLicensed Vocational Nurse currently in the State of Texas. Experience of one year as a licensed vocational nurse and/or with comparable experience. Current certification in Basic Life Support must be maintained.
External and External ContactsGeneral Public, representatives of other health care facilities, physicians, and other in house departmental personnel. Patients and patient’s families/caregivers.
Physical DemandsDuties of the position require moderate periods of sitting, standing and walking, may involve lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and handling equipment. The potential of some bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing when providing care to patients. Lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasional heavy lifting in supporting or moving patients who may suddenly become weak or helpless.
