We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Charge Nurse to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent clinical skills, capable of coordinating daily unit operations and supporting both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities and workflow on the unit
  • Provide direct patient care and oversee care provided by nursing staff
  • Make patient assignments based on acuity levels and staff competencies
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes or emergencies
  • Conduct rounds to assess patient needs and staff performance
  • Address patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit meetings
  • Manage unit supplies and equipment inventory
  • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty certification in relevant area (e.g., Med-Surg, ICU, ER)
  • Experience with staff education and training
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
