HVAC Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified HVAC Technician to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The HVAC Technician will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for our facilities.

• Install new HVAC units in commercial, industrial and other buildings as necessary
• Install ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units to ensure proper operation
• Inspect and troubleshoot problems with existing HVAC units
• Assist in maintaining inventory for replacement parts and order replacements
• Comply with company and industry safety standards
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Excellent analytical, logical and problem-solving skills
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
• Ability to safely use power and hand tools
• Ability to use thermostats, pressure gauges and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems
• Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems
• Ability to follow instructions
• Excellent mechanical skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail a must

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational / technical school training or apprenticeship preferred
• At least (2) one year of related work experience required
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification preferred

• Physically able to work on HVAC units
• Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling or climbing ladders
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
