HVAC Technician-Sweetwater

Ludlum Measurements Inc is seeking a qualified HVAC Technician to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The HVAC Technician will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for our facilities.

Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person

• Install new HVAC units in commercial, industrial and other buildings as necessary.
• Install ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect and troubleshoot problems with existing HVAC units.
• Assist in maintaining inventory for replacement parts and order replacements.
• Comply with company and industry safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Excellent analytical, logical and problem‑solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Ability to safely use power and hand tools.
• Ability to use thermostats, pressure gauges and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems.
• Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail a must.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship preferred.
• At least one year of related work experience required.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification preferred.

• Physically able to work on HVAC units.
• Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year.
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling or climbing ladders.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
