HVAC Technician – Ludlum Measurements Inc. We are seeking a qualified HVAC Technician to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The HVAC Technician will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for our facilities.
Job Type: Full‑Time, In‑Person
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Install new HVAC units in commercial, industrial and other buildings as necessary
- Install ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units to ensure proper operation
- Inspect and troubleshoot problems with existing HVAC units
- Assist in maintaining inventory for replacement parts and order replacements
- Comply with company and industry safety standards
- Complete other duties as assigned or required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational / technical school training or apprenticeship preferred
- At least 2 years of related work experience required
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification preferred
- Physically able to work on HVAC units
- Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling or climbing ladders
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Excellent analytical, logical and problem‑solving skills
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
- Ability to safely use power and hand tools
- Ability to use thermostats, pressure gauges and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems
- Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems
- Ability to follow instructions
- Excellent mechanical skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail a must
- Salary is dependent upon experience
