Local Delivery Driver Class A or B with Hazmat (Sweetwater, TX)
Location:
Sweetwater, TX - Retail shop
- Pay: $27 per hour
- Potential for Quarterly Bonuses
- Work Schedule:

- Cylinder Handling:
Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations. - Record Keeping:
Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling. - Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. - Warehouse Support:
Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.
- Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
- Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
- One (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years, with no more than two convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years, or a combination of one conviction and one at‑fault accident in the last three years.
- Graduates with a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years are also welcome.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
- Proficiency in navigating and comprehending material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs, and occasionally lift 76–125 lbs with material handling equipment.
- Comfortable operating vehicles with hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is expected.
- Availability to support the team with occasional overtime as necessary.
- Ability to obtain and maintain collaborative safety credentials for customer site access.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (Forklift/Moffett).
