Heavy Equipment Operator - Haul Truck

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety. Prioritize safety throughout the operation for yourself and others in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Operate Heavy Equipment. Operate off‑highway equipment to transport raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
• Inspect Equipment. Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and complete daily mobile equipment reports accurately.
• Maintain Equipment. Check vehicle fluid levels, add correct fluids, and assist with minor maintenance as needed.
• Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings. Monitor plant and operations and report necessary maintenance or adjustments for safety.
• Additional Responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of general principles and best practices for operating and servicing heavy equipment preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours when required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and tolerate loud noise.
