In this key role, you will be responsible for the initiation, coordination and administration of fisheries management activities in the Delaware River system, which includes the mainstem Delaware River, West Branch Delaware River, mainstem Lehigh River (upstream to the Francis E Walter Dam), and mainstem Schuylkill River (upstream to the Fairmount Dam).
Responsibilities- Conduct research: design and carry out studies on fish populations, habitat conditions and water quality.
- Analyze data: use scientific methods and statistical tools to interpret survey results and draw conclusions.
- Prepare reports: write scientific and technical reports, articles, and presentations to summarize findings.
- Supervise staff: lead fisheries and biologist aides in data collection, lab tasks, and field operations.
