Deputy Director – Senior Project Biostatistics Lead – Vaccines

In this role you will serve as a Senior Biostatistics Expert at the vaccine project level, contributing to the development of end‑to‑end clinical development plans and the execution of clinical trials. You will collaborate with clinical, medical, and global project teams to design studies, define statistical analysis plans, oversee data capture and randomization, analyze primary and secondary endpoints, and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
You will take ownership of the most complex and priority studies, mentor team members, promote teamwork, quality, and operational efficiency, and communicate trial results internally and externally, including contributions to submissions for marketing authorization and label improvement.
Main Responsibilities- Develop end‑to‑end clinical development plans with cross‑functional team members.
- Gain internal approval from governing bodies at platform and cross‑platform levels.
- Obtain Health Authority acceptance of plans from a statistical standpoint.
- Oversee execution of clinical trials: data capture, randomization, statistical analysis plan, and analysis deliveries for primary and secondary objectives.
- Lead the most complex/priority study in the project.
- Mentor staff working on the project.
- Encourage teamwork, quality, operational efficiency, and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and departmental standards.
- Communicate trial results internally and contribute to scientific interpretation of results.
- Support external communication of study results to Health Authorities.
- Be accountable for the statistical aspects of submissions for marketing authorization or label improvement.
PhD or MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related discipline with at least 6 years of pharmaceutical experience. Proven experience in clinical development or post‑marketing activities, including submissions and interactions with regulatory agencies or other external stakeholders. Strong knowledge of advanced statistical concepts and techniques, study management, interpersonal and communication skills.
