About the Position
Step into the role of Delaware River Biologist with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and be at the forefront of aquatic resource management. Responsibilities- Conduct research studies on fish populations, habitat conditions, and water quality.
- Analyze data using scientific methods and statistical tools to interpret survey results and draw conclusions.
- Prepare scientific and technical reports, articles, and presentations to summarize findings.
- Supervise Fisheries and Biologist Aides in data collection, lab tasks, and field operations.
Full‑time employment. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch. Telework may be available part‑time for approved candidates. Salary ranges $59,345.00 – $90,211.00 annually

- One year of experience as a Fisheries Biologist 1, PFBC, or equivalent professional experience conducting fish studies with a bachelor’s degree in a biological science and 12 college credits in fish biology, fisheries management, or closely related fields.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes the required courses.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- PA residency requirement currently waived.
- This position is subject to the Child Protective Services Law, requiring satisfactory criminal history reports (PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI fingerprint clearance).
