Industrial Operations

Industrial operations at ***'s Swiftwater, Pennsylvania site, the largest vaccine manufacturing facility in the US, continues to develop its manufacturing assets to produce existing and new vaccines and biopharmaceuticals.

Accountabilities:

• Execution of small scale experiments, working with eggs and flu virus.
• Support and assist production of high growing flu virus reassortants, flu reference antigen, and antisera.
• Running hemagglutination testing, SDS-PAGE, chromatography, and PCR.
• Ordering and maintaining supplies and materials and shipping materials as needed.
• Working with outside vendors as needed.
• Shipping biological samples for sequencing.
• Writing internal development protocols and reports related to project.
• Sample management between labs, manufacturing buildings, and analytical sciences department.

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; science/biology field preferred.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience (academic lab experience accepted).
• Experience working with viruses is a plus.
