YourRole
As a core member of our Swindon team, you will handle a true variety of technical work:
- Diagnostics & Rectification: Use modern diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex vehicle faults accurately.
- Servicing & Repairs: Carry out routine vehicle servicing, mechanical maintenance, suspension work, and safety-critical repairs to strict trade standards.
- Technical Upgrades: Stay updated with the latest automotive systems, electronic components, and repair methodologies.
- Quality Assurance: Road-test vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools after work is completed to guarantee "right first time" safety and quality.
- Documentation: Accurately complete digital job cards and technical descriptions of faults found or repairs completed.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent City & Guilds / time-served experience).
- Experience: Proven track record as a confident Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a professional independent or franchise workshop setting.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Traits: Excellent attention to detail, a professional approach to workshop safety, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Based in Swindon, our workshop facility is perfectly situated for an easy daily commute from Chippenham, Marlborough, Cirencester, Wootton Bassett, Highworth, and Faringdon.
