Salary: £35-40k OTE

We are seeking an outgoing and competitive Mobile Hydraulic Field Service Technician servicing hydraulic hoses repairs in our Pirtek centre and on site in surrounding areas.

We are looking for self motivated individuals who can work well as part of a team. We would prefer experience in a mechanical plant or engineering background and will offer training for the right person. There will be an after hours call out roster which is on a 24 hour basis which you will be expected to undertake and includes weekends and bank holidays all year round.

You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving licence check.

Key functions & responsibilities
  • Provide a professional On-site Hose Replacement Service to Pirtek customers.
  • Part of a 24 hr ‘on-call’ rota with other franchise technicians.
  • Actively promote Pirtek products and services to existing and prospective customers throughout your given territory.
  • Maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicable.
  • Manage a Mobile Sales and Service Unit (MSSU) including stock levels, routine maintenance checks, cleanliness, documentation and technical updates.
Skills & competencies
  • Must have a full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and sales orientation.
  • Basic mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills.
Work experience
  • Ideal person to have plant or motor trade background or experience with hydraulics.
  • Work experience in a technical/engineering environment advantageous but not essential.
Educational requirements

Full driving licence required
