Project Coordinator

Bühler Group is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our local Project Execution team in Algiers.

In this role, you will coordinate the successful execution of Plant Projects and Customer Service (CS) projects across Algeria, ensuring they are delivered in line with agreed schedules, budgets, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.

As the key local interface, you will connect the customer's Project Manager with Bühler's regional teams, headquarters, and Business Unit Project Managers. Your ability to communicate effectively in French and English, maintain disciplined follow-up, and facilitate the timely resolution of issues will be essential throughout the project lifecycle.

This is where you'll excel

• Own day-to-day local project coordination from project handover through commissioning, customer acceptance and final project closure.
• Act as a key interface between customer Project Managers and Bühler's regional/HQ and Business Unit Project Managers, ensuring clear, timely and accurate communication in French and English.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, action lists and responsibilities, and proactively follow up on agreed actions through completion.
• Coordinate meetings, site activities, project documentation, deliveries and site-readiness requirements with Project Management, Customer Service, Sales, Engineering, Logistics, suppliers and customers.
• Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, cost, quality and EHS requirements; identify risks, deviations and potential issues early, support corrective actions and escape when required.
• Prepare clear meeting minutes, progress reports, project summaries and management updates covering project status, key decisions, risks and next steps.
• Build strong and trusted customer relationships, manage expectations and support the resolution of project issues or conflicts with professionalism, diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
• Support commissioning, customer acceptance, project handover, closure and lessons-learned activities.
• Manage multiple priorities effectively and ensure strong follow-up and ownership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate effectively within an international, cross-functional and matrix organization, using sound judgement and a practical, delivery-focused approach.
• Use Microsoft Office effectively; knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar planning tools is preferred, while SAP/ERP experience is an advantage.

These are the skills you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or a comparable technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination or execution, preferably in industrial equipment, plant engineering, installation, commissioning or Customer Service projects.
• Proven experience in customer-facing projects and coordination of multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Based in Algeria, eligible to work locally and willing to travel regularly to customer sites.
