Banking Specialist - Payments (12-months fixed-term contract)

We are looking for a Back Office Banking Specialist in the Payments team within the BPaaS division. The candidate will be selected for our team in Bioggio (Ticino) with 100% working time.

Mission:
Deliver payments services to clients and their end‑clients through high automation and high quality.

• Execute daily activity on payments transactions (order entry, validation and collateral activities) regarding domestic and international commercial payments in line with the standard market rules (SIC/SWIFT/SEPA format, cut‑off times, etc).
• Manage the investigation activity towards correspondent banks/ordering banks/beneficiary banks, in strict cooperation with Clients.
• Analyze pending cash open items assigned to the Payments Team and take necessary steps to close the open positions with correspondent banks.
• Cooperate/communicate with clients and counter parties efficiently.
• Be involved proactively in the continuous improvement of processes and automation to guarantee the best service and client experience.

• At least 2–3 years of experience in Back Office Payments or similar.
• High flexibility and willingness to learn.
• Good team player.
• Ability to autonomously navigate a highly challenging, fast‑paced, and complex environment.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Proficiency in English.

• Knowledge of Avaloq Core Banking System.
• Knowledge of messaging systems:
  Finastra GMP, IGT+ and Bottomline GTex.
