CoBe Capital
, an international private investment firm with a permanent capital base, specializes in the acquisition and operation of corporate divestitures from global corporations. Headquartered in New York City, CoBe Capital is a fast-growing firm with offices and operations throughout the United States and Europe and is now seeking a Private Equity Analyst (Value Creation Focus) to join its team ().
Based in Lucerne/Switzerland, the full-time role reports directly to CoBe’s Managing Director in Switzerland. This is a unique opportunity for someone at the start of their career – ideally straight out of university or with a few years of professional experience – to take on real operational responsibility within CoBe’s portfolio of companies. The focus of the role is the hands‑on operational improvement of CoBe’s existing portfolio companies, with a particular emphasis on identifying and implementing AI, automation and standardized, scalable processes.
While the individual will also support the team on acquisitions and deal work, this is not the primary focus of the role.
The candidate must possess an entrepreneurial mindset and the desire to develop the skills to drive value at businesses with the mindset of both an owner and operator. Above all, the individual should be genuinely excited about AI and its practical application: someone who is passionate about deploying modern tools to shift manual, time‑consuming activities toward automated, AI‑supported and standardized processes within our operating companies.
This role goes beyond deal execution, offering the opportunity to be deeply involved in the operations of our portfolio companies as well as, on a supporting basis, in acquisitions.
- Work hands‑on with the management teams of CoBe’s portfolio companies to identify manual, time‑consuming and repetitive processes and redesign them into automated, AI‑supported and standardized workflows
- Identify, evaluate and deploy practical AI tools and automation solutions across functions (e.g., finance, operations, reporting, customer service), driving measurable efficiency gains and improved data quality
- Standardize and scale processes across the portfolio, build the underlying tooling and documentation, and act as a catalyst for a culture of speed, action and results; partner with management to embed continuous operational improvement and continuous value expansion.
- Support the team on acquisitions, including reviewing confidential information memorandums (CIMs), preparing screenings, building financial models and conducting market analysis
- Participate in management presentations and due diligence, and support transaction negotiations and financing arrangements
- Support the carve‑out and stand‑up of newly acquired companies, helping to ensure a smooth transition into the CoBe portfolio
- Bring an operational lens into the diligence process, helping to identify post‑acquisition value‑creation and efficiency opportunities early.
- Excellent academic track record from leading universities
- Solid financial understanding – able to read and interpret financials and build basic financial models, with the foundation to develop a full investor toolkit over time
- Strong early‑career track record – ideally a recent graduate or with a few years of relevant experience, e.g., in consulting, investment banking, private equity or a high‑growth/operational environment
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI and automation, with a strong drive to apply modern tools in practice to automate, standardize and improve business processes – combined with the curiosity to continuously learn new tools
- Strong interpersonal and adaption skills; ability to work with people at all levels of business from the boardroom to the plant floor, and adapt quickly to a wide range of situations and industries
- Ability to operate autonomously, as required, as well as the ability to work in a small team environment and be a collaborative team player
- Strong commercial judgment and an entrepreneurial mindset – strong in assessment and quantification, with the ability to make hard decisions and the drive to implement the programs as conceived and modify on‑the‑fly for maximum effectiveness
- Committed to develop the full set of investor skill – including most importantly operational and restructuring toolbox necessary to drive transformation and continuous value expansion at an operating company
- High energy level; willingness to travel as needed.
Only shortlisted applicants who meet the experience and qualifications requirements listed above will be contacted.
