About The Role

Hershey Trading GmbH is seeking a Manager, Business Management to support the financial and operational management of our cocoa procurement activities. This role serves as an important connection between Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Materials Management, Supply Chain Finance, and other cross‑functional partners. The successful candidate will combine strong financial and analytical capabilities with process ownership, stakeholder management, and a continuous‑improvement mindset. The Manager, Business Management will support cocoa procurement financial activities, provide visibility into purchasing and contract performance, strengthen business processes and controls, and help resolve complex issues across systems and functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and analyze cocoa procurement financial activities, including purchase price variance, standard cost inputs, forecasts, contract positions, and related business performance.
  • Own the annual standard cost process by validating contracted volumes, pricing assumptions, market inputs, and other relevant cost components. Prepare accurate, timely, and decision‑relevant reporting for Procurement, Finance, and business leadership.
  • Monitor cocoa contract balances and support reconciliation across procurement and financial systems. Investigate discrepancies involving contracts, purchase orders, goods receipts, invoices, and financial postings.
  • Partner with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Materials Management, Procurement, and other teams to identify root causes and resolve transactional issues. Support commodity coverage analysis, procurement planning, and financial scenario modeling.
  • Maintain effective processes and controls around procurement transactions, contract administration, reporting, and financial reconciliations.
  • Document end‑to‑end processes, clarify ownership through RACI frameworks, and support the closure of control or audit observations.
  • Identify reporting, system, and process gaps and lead cross‑functional improvement initiatives.
  • Translate complex procurement and financial information into clear recommendations for stakeholders and leadership. Support business transformation initiatives and the implementation of new processes, systems, reporting tools, and controls.
  • Provide guidance and education to cross‑functional teams on cocoa procurement finance processes and requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in finance, business management, procurement finance, supply chain finance, accounting, controlling, or a comparable analytical role. Strong understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, reconciliations, and management reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate complex discrepancies and identify practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Experience working across multiple functions, systems, and geographies. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy and financial integrity.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial or operational topics clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and unresolved issues simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and sound professional judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in commodities, procurement, manufacturing, food ingredients, or agricultural supply chains.
  • Knowledge of commodity purchasing, contracts, pricing, hedging, or purchase price variance.
  • Experience with SAP S/4

    HANA, commodity or contract management systems, and Power BI. Familiarity with internal controls, audit, process mapping, and RACI development. Experience supporting standard costing or procurement‑related financial planning.
  • Experience leading process improvements or cross‑functional transformation initiatives.
