Description

Under a name steeped in tradition, Kempinski – hoteliers since 1897 – has travelled the world in search of fascinating destinations, without ever losing sight of its traditions and European heritage. Its spacious resorts and stylish city and wellness hotels reflect a distinctive and unique character, tailored specifically for guests who appreciate five-star service and luxury on their business or leisure trips.

What actually defines a Grand Hotel? It is ahead of its time; it creates traditions and nurtures them. Would you like to develop your own traditions and, through your department, reinforce our positioning as a sporty, warmly welcoming and refreshingly uncomplicated 5-star hotel?

Do you have an eye for detail and work creatively and independently?

To lead our F&B team and support our Director of F&B, we are looking for you to join us as Assistant F&B Manager from the upcoming winter season.

  • Ensuring compliance with and continuously monitoring Kempinski brand standards, as well as HACCP and hygiene regulations.
  • Being present for guests, handling feedback with confidence, and creating personalised, unforgettable guest experiences (Creating Remarkable Experiences).
  • Induction, motivation and development of the F&B team, as well as helping to design training programmes.
  • Assisting with rota and holiday planning, stock management and stock-taking, as well as supporting cost and revenue control (Cost Control).
  • Contributing new ideas for events, menu presentations and seasonal promotions to increase guest satisfaction and revenue.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Completed training in the hospitality industry and several years’ experience in the upmarket hospitality sector, with at least two years’ management experience in a comparable role
  • Professional expertise, creativity and attention to detail, as well as a very high standard of quality awareness
  • A structured and organised approach to work, as well as a willingness to provide operational support
  • A keen interest in team-oriented work
  • Genuine enthusiasm for first-class cuisine, fine wines and first-class service.
  • A dynamic leadership style characterised by empathetic communication, a hands-on approach and setting a good example.
  • Ability to work under pressure, an understanding of business management and a confident demeanour even in hectic situations.
  • Very good command of German and English; knowledge of other languages, such as Italian, would be an advantage
Benefits
  • Living and working in the heart of the Engadin Alps
  • A wide range of opportunities to shape your role
  • A pleasant working atmosphere within a young and dynamic team
  • International career prospects and opportunities for development
  • Outstanding staff benefits, including access to all Kempinski hotels
  • Staff accommodation in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, including laundry facilities, a fitness room, communal lounge and kitchen, and a varied selection of meals in our staff restaurant
