Regional Category Manager - Castings & Forgings

Position Summary The purpose of this job is to generate procurement synergies within the region for Castings & Forgings generating savings, reducing complexity, improving deliveries and quality of goods purchased.

• Build relationship with procurement teams in divisions developing and executing procurement strategies
• Lead sourcing projects, engaging stakeholders and the required cross-functional resources
• Develop division team members’ skills in strategic procurement, mentoring and supporting them in creating category sourcing strategies
• Drive spend transparency, aggregation, vendor consolidation, and leveraging regional volume to maximize cost savings and value-add for Parker
• Lead negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers (including claim management)
• Maintain supplier relationships to ensure we obtain best quality, OTD and flexibility
• Partner with Functional Leaders to ensure business reviews are conducted as needed at a regular cadence.
• Establish, monitor, and exceeds results against KPI’s
• Supplier evaluation & risk management to ensure appropriate and effective sources of supply

• 10 years procurement experience with at least 2 years in Castings & Forgings
• Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering, Supply Chain or business administration, master’s degree is a plus.
• Ability to develop procurement strategy from scratch
• Expertise in Castings & Forgings sourcing
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Fluent in English, other European is of advantage
