International Leisure Sales Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and driven International Leisure Sales Manager to join our team at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace. Your deep knowledge of our property and your commitment to excellence will shine through every client interaction.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service to both internal and external customers.
  • Drive and achieve sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of international accounts, including luxury travel advisors, tour operators, consortia partners and strategic clients.
  • Establish parameters, quote and negotiate prices, confirming by written contracts.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to ensure rate integrity, market positioning and optimal pricing strategies across international segments.
  • Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas by participating in trade shows, conventions, sales blitz and promotional events.
  • Plan and execute targeted sales trips in key markets to generate qualified leads and business opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and geopolitical factors impacting international demand.
  • Nurture key accounts, contact, activity and business details in the appropriate software applications.
  • Follow up on all business leads within a 24‑hour response timeline to clients.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
  • Conduct competitor surveys and recommend strategies based on market intelligence.

    Follow departmental policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for key account management in an assigned geographic area, ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets and increasing market share versus competitors.
  • Develop new accounts in growing markets.
  • Lead and organize assigned site inspections.
  • Have detailed knowledge of all services provided by the hotel and all relevant facts and figures.
  • Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs.
KPI
  • Revenue contribution from assigned international markets.
  • Number of new accounts activated.
  • Conversion rate of leads to confirmed business.
  • Market share growth in targeted regions.
  • ROI on sales trips and trade show participation.
Qualifications
  • Strong international sales experience within luxury hospitality or travel industry.
  • Proven track record in developing new markets and generating revenue.
  • Experience with luxury consortia.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
  • Strong commercial mindset with revenue‑driven approach.
  • Fluency in English and French; additional languages are an asset.
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Act as an ambassador of the hotel internationally, ensuring consistent brand positioning across all markets.
