Senior Accountant

Contract hybrid position based in Sycamore, IL. The role focuses on supporting a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) implementation and go‑live with an emphasis on cost accounting and supply chain. The contract is expected to last at least 3 months, with potential extension.

• Hands‑on expertise in D365 F&O, especially in cost accounting, inventory, production, and supply chain modules.
• Support D365 implementation, testing (UAT), data validation, configuration reviews, and go‑live readiness, focusing on cost and inventory processes.
• Understand cost accounting mapping within D365: standard cost updates, item model groups, costing versions, BOM/route costing, and inventory valuation methods.
• Collaborate with the project team to troubleshoot D365 issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and report system defects or misconfigurations.
• Translate business requirements into D365 functionality, ensuring cost processes follow system best practices.
• Perform end‑to‑end transaction flow tracing in D365 (PO to invoice, production orders, WIP, costing sheets, adjustments, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with IT, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate D365 setup and data integrity.
• Work independently in a fast‑paced ERP environment, bringing strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

• Strong functional experience with D365 F&O, particularly in Cost Accounting, Inventory Management, Production Control, or related supply‑chain modules.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or module deployments—preferably including UAT, data migration, reconciliations, and process documentation.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile system‑driven data in D365, including inventory balances, cost roll‑ups, and cost variances.
