This is a FIRST SHIFT position, working Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm in Sycamore, IL. • Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures.
• Perform varied warehouse tasks under the regular direction of the Supervisor and/or Lead person, including but not limited to accurately processing customer orders into shipments utilizing bar-code equipment.
• Operate a powered industrial truck to move and store material as required.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Receive inventory and validate quantities against purchase orders.
• Stock shelves with material.
• Setup and run Print and Apply machinery.
• Generate DOT required documentation, including the Bill of Lading.
• Package freight shipments to prevent product damage (shrink wrap, banding, proper carton stacking).
• Follow all quality procedures and instructions.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
• Other related duties as directed by management.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential to teamwork and productivity.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow verbal and written multi-step directions for semi-complex tasks.
• Visual acuity and hand dexterity to package and assemble a variety of materials.
• Color and depth perception may be required for selected tasks.
• Ability to perform routine computer data entry and queries.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to read and follow job instructions, complete written forms, and communicate with others.
• Reliable, predictable attendance is essential.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of warehouse experience is desired.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to frequently lift 10 lbs up to 64 inches, occasionally lift up to 25 lbs up to 64 inches, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and lift and carry 42 lb bucket 10 ft; push and pull up to 50 lbs of force at waist height.
• Must be able to continuously stand/walk and/or sit during a 9- to 10-hour shift, with frequent squatting/crouching, reach, and bend; step up and down a 12" step and operate hand controls of mechanical lift.

Work Environment

• Hot/cold temperatures based on seasonal variations.
• May be humid, noisy, have odors or dust.
• Safety precautions are a must to minimize exposure to mechanical hazards.

Compensation Disclosure

The rate of pay for this position is $20.00/hour
