This is a first shift position, working Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm in Sycamore, Illinois.J. - Follow all safety procedures.
- Perform routine production tasks under the close direction of the Supervisor and/or lead person, including but not limited to forming, assembling and packaging of our products; the set-up and operation of various work stations.
- May require use of various tools and equipment including, but not limited to hand tools, soldering equipment, assembly and test equipment, hand trucks.
- Where necessary, monitor work visually and dimensionally referring to blueprints, engineering specifications, and job instruction sheets. Maintain quality and rate charts as required.
- Set-up, changeover, and operate primary and secondary manufacturing machines within a work cell.
- Conduct daily and operator preventative maintenance on work equipment.
- May complete subassembly and assembly work within manufacturing work cells when required for production demands.
- Montior and control quality of production pieces through adjustment of machines or tooling.
- Follow all quality procedures and instructions.
- Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
- Other related duties as directed by management.
- Regular, predictable attendance is essential to teamwork, timely information exchange, and meeting productivity requirements.
REQUIRED:
- Must be able to follow verbal and written multi-step directions for complex machine operations.
- Must have proven ability to safely operate various manufacturing production machines.
- Understand set-up needs, fixturing, and quick changeover.
- Visual acuity and hand dexterity to package and assemble a variety of materials is required.
- For selected tasks, color and depth perception may be required.
- Abilityto perform routine computer data entry and queries is required.
- Able towork effectively in a team environment.
- Requires the ability to read and follow job instructions, complete written forms, and effectively communicate with others.
- This position will require an OSHA approved powered industrial truck license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 12 months of manufacturing machine operator experience is required, 24 months is preferred.
- Lean manufacturing experience, including SMED, is preferred.
A satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Must be able to continuously lift, push and pull up to 5 lbs, for 9-10 hours per day, and on occasion, lift up to 60 lbs. This capability will either be determined from a physical exam or verifiable past performance.
- Continuous standing during a shift (9 - 10 hours) with frequent reaching, pulling, and bending.
- May be required to pass a physical exam for wearing a respirator, which is a requirement for certain jobs.
- Hot/cold temperatures based on seasonal variations.
- May be humidity, noise, odors, dust.
- Safety precautions are a must to minimize potential exposure to mechanical hazards.

The rate of pay for this position is $22.50/hour. This represents a good faith disclosure of compensation, which is the fixed starting rate for this position.
