Salary

The salary range for this position is $34.50 - $55.20 per hour. Placement within the range depends on experience and equity considerations.

• Performs all aspects of patient care by utilizing evidence-based practice to optimize patient safety and reduce medical errors.
• Follows the six medication rights and administers medications based on the patient’s age and clinical condition.
• States rationale for clinical decisions based on critical thinking.
• Assesses, analyzes, validates, and integrates data to evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, rehabilitative, safety, learning, spiritual, cultural, age‑specific, special risk, and self‑care needs.
• Identifies patient care needs, problems, and variances and incorporates them into the care plan.
• Identifies the patient’s learning needs, abilities, preferences, and readiness; identifies support systems, coping mechanisms, and barriers to learning.
• Explains procedures, therapies, and treatments to patients and families, evaluates and documents responses.
• Uses appropriate resources to provide education.
• Involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
• Develops, implements, and updates individualized care plans based on identified needs, including nursing, teaching, continuum of care, and discharge planning.
• Adequately assesses pain and uses appropriate pain management techniques; educates patient and family regarding pain management.
• Uses results of quality improvement activities to initiate changes in nursing practice and the healthcare delivery system.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and practice or departmental projects.

Required
:

• Current experience within the past five years or recent nursing graduate within the past two years.
• State‑licensed Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification.

Preferred
:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• One year of experience in a pertinent clinical specialty.
• Proficiency in a second language.
