Salary
The salary range for this position is $34.50 - $55.20 per hour. Placement within the range depends on experience and equity considerations.
DescriptionThe Staff Nurse Physician Group reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM and adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities- Performs all aspects of patient care by utilizing evidence-based practice to optimize patient safety and reduce medical errors.
- Follows the six medication rights and administers medications based on the patient’s age and clinical condition.
- States rationale for clinical decisions based on critical thinking.
- Assesses, analyzes, validates, and integrates data to evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, rehabilitative, safety, learning, spiritual, cultural, age‑specific, special risk, and self‑care needs.
- Identifies patient care needs, problems, and variances and incorporates them into the care plan.
- Identifies the patient’s learning needs, abilities, preferences, and readiness; identifies support systems, coping mechanisms, and barriers to learning.
- Explains procedures, therapies, and treatments to patients and families, evaluates and documents responses.
- Uses appropriate resources to provide education.
- Involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
- Develops, implements, and updates individualized care plans based on identified needs, including nursing, teaching, continuum of care, and discharge planning.
- Adequately assesses pain and uses appropriate pain management techniques; educates patient and family regarding pain management.
- Uses results of quality improvement activities to initiate changes in nursing practice and the healthcare delivery system.
- Participates in shared governance, committee work, and practice or departmental projects.
Required
:
- Current experience within the past five years or recent nursing graduate within the past two years.
- State‑licensed Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- CPR – Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred
:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- One year of experience in a pertinent clinical specialty.
- Proficiency in a second language.
