About The OpportunityReporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer is responsible for procurement activities in a centralized service including inventory, non‑inventory goods and services. Assists with supply/service contract management for facilities and agencies as directed by the Procurement Manager according to established procurement policies.
A skill test will be included as part of the selection process.
About You- Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Two‑year post‑secondary program in Business or equivalent required
- Two or more years of experience in a supply‑chain environment
- SCMA Certificate or an acceptable combination of education and experience would be considered an asset
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Working knowledge of SAP operating system preferred
- Ability to work in a self‑directed environment and effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Willingness to learn new computer programming
- Proficiency in additional languages is an asset, French preferred
- Permanent full‑time position; 70 hours bi‑weekly
- Approximately 12 months
$26.84 – $30.84 hourly
