About The Opportunity

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer is responsible for procurement activities in a centralized service including inventory, non‑inventory goods and services. Assists with supply/service contract management for facilities and agencies as directed by the Procurement Manager according to established procurement policies.

A skill test will be included as part of the selection process.

About You
  • Grade 12 or equivalent required
  • Two‑year post‑secondary program in Business or equivalent required
  • Two or more years of experience in a supply‑chain environment
  • SCMA Certificate or an acceptable combination of education and experience would be considered an asset
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Working knowledge of SAP operating system preferred
  • Ability to work in a self‑directed environment and effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Willingness to learn new computer programming
  • Proficiency in additional languages is an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Permanent full‑time position; 70 hours bi‑weekly
  • Approximately 12 months
Compensation and Benefits

$26.84 – $30.84 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for benefits including health, dental, travel, long‑term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
