OverviewThis individual is responsible for general labour tasks including unloading, transport, flagging and other tasks as assigned. The successful candidate will ensure that they are carrying out assigned tasks/responsibilities efficiently and effectively. They will meet quality standards and production targets set by the organization. They will follow established procedures, guidelines, and best practices. It is important that they maintain open and constructive communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
Finally, they will show punctuality and reliability in fulfilling work obligations.
- Assist in unloading trucks and gathering necessary tools and equipment for the day’s work.
- Transport rakes, lutes, shovels, and spray cans to the designated work area.
- Measure and mark out the designated area of iron.
- Occasionally act as a flagger to direct motorists away from the work zone, ensuring safety and traffic control.
- Perform shoveling tasks, including the movement and distribution of materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored at the end of the day.
- Lifting of sections of 50+ pounds.
- Clean up the work site by removing any debris or rubbish generated during the iron adjustment process.
- Tamp and compact asphalt to ensure proper adhesion and stability.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $28.00 and $35.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
