About The OpportunityReporting to the Maintenance & Operations Assistant Manager, the Electrician contributes to the safe and effective operations of Nova Scotia Health facilities by providing a full range of electrical services respecting the day-to-day maintenance and project-related activities for the facilities. The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all existing, new, or renovated electrical systems and related equipment within the Nova Scotia Health facilities.
This position may require travel to work at other sites.
- Nova Scotia Electrician Journeyman Certification required
- Demonstrated knowledge and observation of safe work practices is required
- Knowledge of applicable safety codes and the Canadian Electrical Code specifications
- Valid training in the following will be considered an asset: WHMIS, Confined Space Awareness, Fall Protection, Arc Flash Training, First Aid, Lock & Tag Out, Infection Con
- Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
$32.79 – $38.55 hourly. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
