Position: Full-Time Carpenter at Cape Breton Hospital
Join the Nova Scotia Health team as a full-time Carpenter in Cape Breton. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining and repairing building structures while adhering to relevant codes and regulations.

As a Carpenter within the FMS Plant Maintenance department, you will report to the Assistant Manager and handle repairs, alterations, and small renovations in accordance with safety and health standards. This permanent role requires at least two years of experience in the construction industry, including adherence to Provincial and National Construction Building Codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete repairs and alterations to walls, ceilings, and floors

• Follow building and infection prevention codes

• Execute small renovations as needed

• Travel between sites effectively as required

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Carpenter Certificate required

• Minimum two years of relevant construction experience

• Valid driver’s licence or reliable transportation

• Knowledge of construction safety standards

• Adhere to fire and infection control codes
