Responsibilities
- Execute manufacturing process by operating designated production equipment.
- Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load them into production machines.
- Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence.
- Manufacture product in a safe and timely manner and according to predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
- Accurately read control instruments and prepare neat and accurate records for all operations as required.
- Complete all quality test requirements to verify final product quality.
- Ensure efficient, uninterrupted production and identify and facilitate process improvements.
- Monitor equipment and report production information in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
- Keep records for production, raw material deliveries, quality samples and equipment and process performance.
- Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance and cleanliness of various laboratory instruments.
- Work in accordance with all relevant requirements and internal safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for housekeeping in the plant and maintaining a clean, safe and clutter‑free work environment.
- Know the significant quality, safety, health, and environmental (QSHE) aspects/impacts associated with work, including relevant legal/other requirements and emergency preparedness and response.
- Understand and use the Corporate Sustainability Policy and the Integrated Management System (IMS) as guidance to continuously improve the QSHE aspects of the job.
- Good command of both oral and written local language is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- 5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a chemical or related field.
- Experience in a maintenance role for a manufacturing or related operation.
- Computer skills and laboratory experience preferred.
- Basic chemistry knowledge preferred.
- Ability to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing with coworkers, supervisors and customers.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends, including operating the facility alone on nights and weekends.
- Ability to work inside and occasionally outside, exposed to heat, cold, dirt, and noise.
