Position: Assistant process operator-3

Responsibilities

  • Execute manufacturing process by operating designated production equipment.
  • Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load them into production machines.
  • Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence.
  • Manufacture product in a safe and timely manner and according to predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
  • Accurately read control instruments and prepare neat and accurate records for all operations as required.
  • Complete all quality test requirements to verify final product quality.
  • Ensure efficient, uninterrupted production and identify and facilitate process improvements.
  • Monitor equipment and report production information in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Keep records for production, raw material deliveries, quality samples and equipment and process performance.
  • Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
  • Ensure proper operation, maintenance and cleanliness of various laboratory instruments.
  • Work in accordance with all relevant requirements and internal safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in the plant and maintaining a clean, safe and clutter‑free work environment.
  • Know the significant quality, safety, health, and environmental (QSHE) aspects/impacts associated with work, including relevant legal/other requirements and emergency preparedness and response.
  • Understand and use the Corporate Sustainability Policy and the Integrated Management System (IMS) as guidance to continuously improve the QSHE aspects of the job.
Qualifications
  • Good command of both oral and written local language is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • 5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a chemical or related field.
  • Experience in a maintenance role for a manufacturing or related operation.
  • Computer skills and laboratory experience preferred.
  • Basic chemistry knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing with coworkers, supervisors and customers.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends, including operating the facility alone on nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work inside and occasionally outside, exposed to heat, cold, dirt, and noise.
