This position manages the business, operational, human resources, and financial functions of the clinic (CSLC). It oversees clinical processes, quality assurance, and compliance, and administers programs such as the Reduced Fee Program, Payment Plan reviews and agreements, NC Farm workers Program, Ryan White Program, Patient Care Fund, Teaching Case Proposals, and Grant Case Proposals. The role requires independent decision-making using sound business practices and policy guidance, and the ability to adapt workflows to meet policy changes while ensuring ongoing compliance.
It also involves strategic planning with the CSLC Director to propose long- and short-term goals for the CSLC.
The position applies state, university, and School policies, develops workflows to support the School of Dental Medicine, conducts financial management for the CSLC, forecasts needs, and analyzes data to support budgeting. It has full supervisory responsibilities, including developing work plans and conducting performance evaluations. It requires knowledge of human resources policies and the ability to recruit and supervise staff, provide leave and time approval, coaching, and disciplinary actions, and serve as a resource for policy guidance.
It acts as a community liaison and communicates information clearly to the Dean's office and CSLC Director, developing written documents and reports as needed.
- Manage business operations, finance, human resources, and clinical workflow for the CSLC.
- Oversee program administration (Reduced Fee Program, Payment Plans, NC Farm workers Program, Ryan White, Patient Care Fund, Teaching Case Proposals, Grant Case Proposals).
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and adapt processes to policy changes.
- Develop and implement workflows to support the School of Dental Medicine mission and goals.
- Forecast revenues and expenditures; monitor budgets; analyze data to support budget needs.
- Supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations, and handle HR processes including recruitment, leave/time approval, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Communicate with external partners and serve as the CSLC community liaison; prepare reports for the Dean's office and CSLC Director.
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.

Previous experience in a dental practice is desirable.
