Anticipated Start: Immediately, Fall 2026
Primary PurposeInstruction in assigned Health and Physical Education classes for the Fall 2026 semester. All classes are in-person on the Jackson campus in Sylva, NC.
Assignment- Daytime class at Jackson campus
- Prepare and teach assigned courses in accordance with course outlines and published course schedule.
- Collaborate with Arts and Sciences colleagues and administrators in program planning, assessment, and continuous improvement processes.
- Maintain accurate records for each course taught.
- Assist in student retention.
- Participate in college events and activities.
- Cooperate in scheduled student evaluations of instructor and space.
- Keep regular posted office hours in accordance with college policy.
- Submit all college reports in an accurate timely fashion.
- Attend instructor and departmental meetings as responsible for professional development and maintaining professional competence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required: Master’s degree in Health and Wellness or Physical Education or closely related discipline with 18 graduate hours in Health and Wellness or PE
Preferred: College teaching experience.
Knowledge and SkillsAbility to use computers and software to support instruction, including course management.
