Testing And Accountability Director

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:
Exempt; 12 Month Position;
Full Time

REPORTS TO:

Superintendent or Designee

SALARY:
Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

NC Educator License in School Administration Required;
Principal experience preferred; previous school-level testing responsibilities required; ability to analyze and interpret data required.

DUTIES:
Provides leadership in developing district-wide testing plans for all state and local required testing; directors training of school testing coordinators; provides leadership in utilizing test data; analyzes and interprets test data; works with school administrators to develop tools and strategies for data analysis and student success; manages user accounts, schedules test administrations, and monitors use of online assessment tools; manages the ordering, distribution, and return of secure test materials;

provides leadership in evaluating assigned programs; develops accountability reports for the district; submits all accountability data to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction; serves as a liaison in areas of responsibility between the school system and local, state, and federal agencies; communicates with the Regional Accountability Coordinator regarding state testing rules and local system needs; serves as the district administrator for EVAAS (Education Value-Added System);

prepares budget in areas of responsibility and administers funds according to established policies; demonstrates profession ethics and assists other in following ethical testing procedures and maintaining test security; performs other duties assigned by the Superintendent and/or designee.
