This position will involve cross-training between reception and veterinary assistant. This is a long‑term position as we hold a culture of integrity in this career path. We are looking to find someone who has an active drive to learn, positive morale and is accountable.
Job Responsibilities- Provide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
- Answer phone callswhich may include answering questions, scheduling appointments and recording messages for doctors and staff
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
- Update and file patient charts
- Enter data into computerize billing program
- Retrieve prescriptions
- Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
- Maintain the cleanliness of waiting room
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods
- Retail sales
- Veterinary assistant skills such as routine exams, vaccinations etc.
- High School Diploma or relevant education and work experience
- Customer Service
- Organizational Skills
- Tech Savvy
- Team oriented
- History of veterinary assistant experience
