$15,000 Commitment Bonus with 2 Year Commitment

Schedule: Days, rotate weekends

About Our Team

Speech-Language Therapy Team at Harris Regional Hospital offers a comprehensive and individualized program for patients. We evaluate and treat for swallowing, speech, voice, and language comprehension/expression problems, as well as perform video-radiographic swallow studies (Modified Barium Swallow Studies) to further assess swallowing problems.

How You'll Contribute

An Acute Care and/or Outpatient Rehab Speech Therapist who excels in this role:

  • Plays an important part in helping our patient to recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
  • Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
  • Document patient care in accordance with Lifepoint, regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
  • Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Make presentations to support marketing efforts, at team conferences and in-services.
  • Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws.

What We're Looking For

Must be a graduate of a Master's level program in Speech Language Pathology and possess an NC License as a Speech Language Pathology. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred
  • ASLS certification preferred
