Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre‑AnesthesiaSchedule:
PRN, As Needed. Day Shift.
Join our growing surgical department, including a 14‑bed Pre‑op, a 4‑bay PACU, and 6 operating rooms. The RN will gain experience in General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Urology, Bronchoscopies, Dental Extractions, and Peds Dental Restorations. This role involves pre‑anesthesia testing, managing patient records, and contacting patients to review medical history, medications, and peri‑operative instructions.
Responsibilities- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
- Complete and document medical necessity in the medical record in a timely manner.
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.
- Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a stressful environment.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
