Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg - PRN

Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg

Schedule:

12-hour shifts, PRN - As Needed

Responsibilities
  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
  • Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provide care appropriate to conditions and age of the patient
  • Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Perform timely and accurate QI assessments

Qualifications
  • Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
  • AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire
  • One year of experience preferred
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
