Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Med/Surg

Job Type: Full Time | Nights

Schedule:

3x12, Days (7p-7a), Rotating Weekends

Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000 with 2‑year commitment.

Overview

Harris Regional Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Med/Surg CNA, you will provide patient‑centered care on a 27‑bed unit, working with a team of RNs and CNAs to support a 1:6 nurse‑to‑patient and 1:12 CNA‑to‑patient ratio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, measuring blood glucose, and recording intake and output.
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, or emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and order in patient rooms and common areas.

Qualifications
  • Current listing as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the State of North Carolina Division of Facility Services.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and composure in stressful environments.
