Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department - PRN

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Job Type: Part-Time | Variable

$20,000 Sign-On Bonus for Night Shift; $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for Day Shift with a 2-year commitment

Schedule:

12‑hour shifts, PRN‑As Needed. Days, Nights, Mids, Weekends, or Holidays.

About Our Team

We have a 14-bed Emergency Department with a 5:1 RN:patient ratio. Our diverse staff includes RNs, CNAs, paramedics, secretaries, and providers, working together in a fast‑paced environment that sees 50–70 patients daily.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation of medical necessity in the record.
  • Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
  • Performs timely and accurate quality‑improvement assessments.

Qualifications
  • Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a stressful environment.
